Jean-Marc Chabot

Historique

I was born in 1959, on December 24 in Lac St-Jean, in the village of Hébertville-Station. My father is Léopold Chabot, born January 6, 1915 in St-Lazare de Bellechasse, he died in December 1991. My mother is Madeleine Labrecque, born March 23, 1927 in St-Lazare de Bellechasse; she lives in Alma at Lac St-jean.

I am divorced and now married to Anny Matte of Donnacona, Portneuf County, where I currently reside. I have 2 daughters: Lisa-Marie, born January 26, 1986; she has 2 beautiful sons: Laurent, 9, and Gabriel, 7. She works for an engineering firm, Norda Stelo, as Director of Organizational Development.

My second daughter, Maxime, was born on October 1, 1989; she has a beautiful granddaughter, Samuelle, born in November 2022. She works for an IT firm, LG2, and holds the position of Senior Director, Digital Strategy.

Now retired, I worked as a process technician for 29 years at Alcoa, an aluminum smelter in Deschambault, Portneuf County. I also worked for several years in the pulp and paper industry in Mauricie and Gaspésie.

I’ve done volunteer work, mainly as a softball and tennis instructor, and I’m a Knight of Columbus, so I take part in various volunteer activities.

My hobbies include sports, especially hunting and fishing, as well as Pickelball, cycling and the great outdoors.

I’m pleased to be a member of the Association des Chabot and I joined the Board of Directors as a Director in September 2024. I was appointed Vice-Chairman of the Board on April 11, 2024. I’m very happy to be part of this association.
