JOURNEY BACK TO OUR ROOTS
WE ARE PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE GENEALOGY TRIP TO FRANCE WILL TAKE PLACE FROM SEPTEMBER 11 TO 25, 2025, SINCE WE HAVE REACHED THE REQUIRED NUMBER OF INSCRIPTIONS!
We’re offering you a brand-new travel itinerary to France in September 2025. It’s a joint project for the descendants of Mathurin Chabot and brothers Pierre and Jean Labrecque. This 15-day, 13-night tour will take you to the most important places of memory of the Pioneers of New France.
This new itinerary will undoubtedly be of interest to the Chabot and Labrecque families, as well as, potentially, to other families with ancestors who lived in the same areas, and to history and genealogy enthusiasts.
For the Chabots, the towns of Tourouvre-au-Perche, St-Pierre d’Oléron, Jarnac and Nalliers are of primary interest. But, as you’ll see from your reading, the other destinations are also steeped in history and tourist interest, notably Dieppe, where many Quebec soldiers, including Chabots, died.
The new project details the itinerary and attractions of each location, mobility information and accommodation in double or single occupancy (at an additional cost of 350 euros). People traveling alone will also be offered the possibility of sharing a room with another person of the same sex, on request and mutual approval, thus reducing costs.
**ADDED TO THE TOUR PROGRAM**
Visit of Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral on the afternoon of September 24.
This visit will be booked as soon as the group booking period opens in March.
