ATTENTION: Here’s the new proposal for a trip to France, with Voyages Racines, for the Chabot and Labrecque families and genealogy enthusiasts.
Departure from Montreal on September 11, 2025 and return from Paris on September 25, 2025. If you are interested in this trip, you have until December 14, 2024 to return the registration form (in French) to the email address mfchabot@icloud.com.
We’re offering you a brand-new travel itinerary to France in September 2025. It’s a joint project for the descendants of Mathurin Chabot and brothers Pierre and Jean Labrecque. This 15-day, 13-night tour will take you to the most important places of memory of the Pioneers of New France.
This new itinerary will undoubtedly be of interest to the Chabot and Labrecque families, as well as, potentially, to other families with ancestors who lived in the same areas, and to history and genealogy enthusiasts.
For the Chabots, the towns of Tourouvre-au-Perche, St-Pierre d’Oléron, Jarnac and Nalliers are of primary interest. But, as you’ll see from your reading, the other destinations are also steeped in history and tourist interest, notably Dieppe, where many Quebec soldiers, including Chabots, died.
The new project details the itinerary and attractions of each location, mobility information and accommodation in double or single occupancy (at an additional cost of 350 euros). People traveling alone will also be offered the possibility of sharing a room with another person of the same sex, on request and mutual approval, thus reducing costs.
The deadline for applications is December 14, 2024, by sending the completed application form to the email address mfchabot@icloud.com.
Payment (3210 euros per person, double room) has been spread over 3 instalments: 30% on signing the contract (December), 30% in April 2025 and the remaining balance 45 days before departure (before July 29, 2025).
